Thank you for your continued support and understanding as we respond to the current warm weather and new heat wave this week.

Due to the forecast of another heatwave, our own observations of the site, and the prospect of rising heat specifically in southern England, we will be closing early on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday this week.

This means Ditton Park Academy will close at 1:30pm Wednesday-Friday.

This decision has been made to ensure the safety and wellbeing of all students and staff during this new heatwave.

Please ensure appropriate arrangements are in place for students to be collected or to travel home safely at the earlier finish time of 1.30pm on Weds 8, Thurs 9 and Fri 10 July.

All planned meetings and achievement evenings this week will continue, and we are looking forward to seeing you at these events.

A reminder that ties, jumpers, and blazers are no longer required for the remainder of this academic year and students can choose to wear trousers, skirt, or shorts with either shoes or trainers with their white shirt.

We will continue to monitor the weather forecast and let you know if affects DPA.
