Options
We have spoken previously about Year 9 students getting started with the Options process. We would now like to welcome you to the start of the journey!
At Ditton Park Academy, the ‘broad and balanced’ Key Stage 4 curriculum has been designed to strike a balance between making sure that students study a wide range of subjects and allowing them to develop their own interests. In September 2024, when our current Year 9 students will be starting Key Stage 4, there will be a CORE of Compulsory Subjects, as well as a series of OPTIONAL subjects.
We are taking great care to ensure that what is offered at Key Stage 4 within school reflects the rapidly changing national practice where GCSE’s are undergoing and have undergone fundamental reform, to reflect DfE policy and guidance.
TIMELINE
Thursday 29th February 2024 - Information evening for students and parents 6-7.30pm
Friday 8th March 2024 - log in details sent to parents/carers and students.
Friday 15th March 2024 - deadline for submission Options
Thursday 23rd May 2024 - final allocations released to parents/carers and students
